1.2 Focus — sliders and the sentence

Drag the two sliders. The shaded area on the plot is the selected share of each side, and the sentence above rewrites itself as you drag:

“The top 20% of active customers and the top 20% of active products account for 47.4% of revenue.”

The table beneath gives the same answer as numbers: each Measure with the figure for the Selection, for All, and the selection's Share.

Reading Focus. The sentence and the table always agree, because both are worked out from what was actually counted.
Why 50% can read as 57%

A cut-off has to be a whole number of records. Half of seven sales reps is four of them, which is 57%, and the sentence quotes the 57% it really used rather than the 50% the slider shows.
